Activity 1: Off the Menu [4 points] (To see the questions go on the summer learning journey site).
Wow did you know that you will get a very expensive fine for over fishing! Today i will be telling you if i think this rule is right or not. I think this rule is appropriate in a matter of fact because sea life may stop growing. Also you could damage the fish if you try to catch it but don't catch it. Also you never know if this keeps going on (over fishing) in the future their could be no fish in the world. But that's what i think. What do you think?
Activity 2: The Black Drain [4 points]
My 2 rivers i will be writing about are Tukituki river and Waikirikiri (Selwyn) river.
Tutkituki river is located in the eastern North Island of New Zealand. They are trying to protect it by treating the black growth on rocks in the water.
Waikirikiri (Selwyn) river is located in the South Island of New Zealand. It has once been said that Waikirikiri (Selwyn) river will be soon cleaned so people can visit it, there is no more information due to further confirmation ideally. Activity 3: Faded Glory [5 points]
In the East Coast of Australia is the world largest coral reef (wow!) Shockingly it is made out of 2900 reefs! Some people believe it is millions of years old including myself. Thankfully the Australian Government is working to preserve and protect the reef! But they have to pay 20 million dollars every year here is what i could do to fundraise/earn money to proudly donate to them! Some ideas on how i could fundraise is by asking each person to donate at least 5-10 dollars. You could also donate yourself (money). Or you could make a lemonade stand or save up money for a year (like me) it is all completely your decision.
