Summer Learning Journey : Week 2 Water, Water, Everywhere : Day 5: Wasting Away

Hi bloggers, i have attended the summer learning journey 2018 - 2019. Here are my activity's.

Activity 1: Off the Menu [4 points] (To see the questions go on the summer learning journey site).
Wow did you know that you will get a very expensive fine for over fishing! Today i will be telling you if i think this rule is right or not. I think this rule is appropriate in a matter of fact because sea life may stop growing. Also you could damage the fish if you try to catch it but don't catch it. Also you never know if this keeps going on (over fishing) in the future their could be no fish in the world. But that's what i think. What do you think?

Activity 2: The Black Drain [4 points]
My 2 rivers i will be writing about are Tukituki river and Waikirikiri (Selwyn) river.
Tutkituki river is located in the eastern North Island of New Zealand. They are trying to protect it by treating the black growth on rocks in the water.
Waikirikiri (Selwyn) river is located in the South Island of New Zealand. It has once been said that Waikirikiri (Selwyn) river will be soon cleaned so people can visit it, there is no more information due to further confirmation ideally.

Activity 3: Faded Glory [5 points]
In the East Coast of Australia is the world largest coral reef (wow!) Shockingly it is made out of 2900 reefs! Some people believe it is millions of years old including myself. Thankfully the Australian Government is working to preserve and protect the reef! But they have to pay 20 million dollars every year here is what i could do to fundraise/earn money to proudly donate to them! Some ideas on how i could fundraise is by asking each person to donate at least 5-10 dollars. You could also donate yourself (money). Or you could make a lemonade stand or save up money for a year (like me) it is all completely your decision.

I would like to go to Milford Sound by helicopter because i would like to experience something new and just see what it would feel like to fly in the air. And see the wonderful view.

Activity 2: It’s All in the Name [4 points]
Here are 5 names i like
1. *Pool of wonders (this is my favourite name because i think it is a interesting name and i think tourists would find it interesting too)
2. Dragons eye
3. Oceania
4. Mermaid wonders
5. Dark town

Activity 3: Picture Perfect [10 points]
He looks like he is in France.
At the time i think he stopped so he could take a quick selfie of the view in the background.
He looks super happy and excited.
I wonder if he was afraid at the time or if he felt like he was going to fall.
He looks happy but i think at the time the picture was taken he was actually scared.
I wonder what building he is on.

Summer Learning Journey : Week 2 Water, Water, Everywhere : Day 3 : First You ‘Sea’ Me, Now You Don’t…

Hi bloggers, i have attended the summer learning journey 2018 - 2019. Here are my activity's.

Activity 1: Night Owls [4 points] (To see the questions go on the summer learning journey site).
I am a night owl. Mainly because i am usually doing my Summer Learning Journey. My siblings  are definitely night owls in my opinion i think my parents are early risers. I usually wake up if i'm being honest around 9:00 am to 12:00 am. But on Monday i think i woke up at 7:00 am something and on Tuesday i woke up at exactly 6:48 am  because it was Christmas day. But i got out of bed at 7:00 am so i could open my Christmas presents speaking of presents Merry Christmas from mine to yours!

Activity 2: A Local Delicacy [4 points]
So i wasn't quite sure what to make so i chose tea. I am currently obsessed with tea! Here is my own recipe on how i make tea.
First i add water into the kettle ( only if there's not any ).
Next i will wash a hot cup while i wait for it to boil.
I will now get 1 tea bag and put it in my hot cup.
Then i'll add 1 tea spoon of sugar.
I will also add the hot water in half way.
Lastly i will add a few drops of milk
That's my recipe on how i make tea. Comment how you make your tea or if you tried my recipe!

Activity 3: The Midnight Zone [10 points]
Sorry if i wrote a bit messy. Here is my answer 15 adults and 3 children.

Activity 1: Weaving a Tall Tale…[4 points] (To see the questions go on the summer learning journey site).
I would love to flax weave. Flax weaving interests me a lot because i believe you can make it at any age. Young or old right or wrong... wait there is no right or wrong it's your own design! There's also no young or old either. Flaxing weave is super awesome!

Activity 2: Mighty Mangroves [4 points]
I think my parents are really strong and tough because they've been putting up with me and my siblings for all our life. It takes courage to do that. Thanks Dad and Mum!
Activity 3: Stranger than Fiction [10 points + 5 possible points]
white banebelly
White Baneberry
baseball plant
Baseball plant

3 similarities about these plants are that they are both toxic, they are also both poisonous! They also have circle shapes.
3 differences about these plants are the baseball plant is rare and white bane berry isn't. They also have different heights and lastly they are different species.
